This step will be taken once the gazette notification that banned Jamaat is withdrawn. We hope the apex court will do justice to us,&#8221; Advocate Shishir Manir told newsmen at a press briefing at the Supreme Court.The former Awami league government banned Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, its student wing Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir and all its associate bodies as political party and organizations on August 1 under section 18(1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009.&#8221;The fascist government fell on August 5 and after that meetings with all the political parties were held in Army headquarters and Bangabhaban on the same day. Jamaat-e-Islami was formally invited as one of the main political parties of the country at those meetings.
