{"id":11265,"date":"2024-10-21T23:46:42","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T20:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyenglishtimes.com\/?p=11265"},"modified":"2024-10-21T23:46:42","modified_gmt":"2024-10-21T20:16:42","slug":"chief-adviser-lays-emphasis-on-digitization-in-fight-against-corruption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyenglishtimes.com\/?p=11265","title":{"rendered":"Chief Adviser lays emphasis on digitization in fight against corruption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ET Desk<\/strong>: Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at a meeting with senior government officials today emphasised the importance of digitisation to fight corruption.<br \/>\nThe meeting held at the State Guest House Jamuna focused on immediate actions for fast-track digital adoption.<br \/>\nKey decisions taken in the meeting included making submission of tax via the e-return portal compulsory for all government officials in the greater Dhaka region and encouraging large corporations to adopt e-return across the organisation.<br \/>\nThe decision to launch a nationwide awareness campaign on digitisation was also taken in the meeting, while renewed focus was given on improving the investment environment by digitising NBR, the National Single Window project.<br \/>\nOther decisions included ensuring interconnectivity of systems across government organisations by keeping an eye on the whole picture and full digitisation roadmap and execution timeline for land related public services.<br \/>\nMd. Siraj Uddin Mia, principal secretary to the Chief Adviser; Md.
