We want her to participate in the coming election after recovering from illness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Manna said there are concerns about Begum Khaleda Zia&#8217;s health and that is why there are also concerns about the election schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, we want her to recover quickly and the election to be held on time,\u201d he said while talking to journalists after inaugurating the Nagorik Oikya district office in Kurigram.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to a question over political alliance, he said talks are ongoing on but no consensus has been finalised yet with anyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don&#8217;t want to do anything alone, but we want to move forward with everyone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Nagorik Oikya General Secretary Shahidullah Kaiser, Central Member Abdur Razzak, District Committee Convener Bir Muktijoddha (retd) Major Abdus Salam and Member Secretary Johbadul Islam Bablu were present, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Later, he addressed a rally of freedom fighters at Bijoy Stambha (victory monument) at College Crossing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ET Desk: Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna (Monday, 8 dec) hoped that BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will recover soon and be fit for taking part in the coming election.
