State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali
\nKhan Khasru today called for planting more saplings of fruit-bearing, timber
\nand herbal trees to keep ecological balance, protecting bio-diversity and
\nmeeting the demand of nutrition and wood.<\/p>\n
“Let us plant more saplings of fruit-bearing, timber and medicinal trees with
\na view to maintain balance of the environment and preserve the bio-diversity
\nand meet the demand of nutrition and wood,” he said.<\/p>\n
The State Minister made the call while inaugurating a week-long tree fair-
\n2023 at Netrakona Old Collectorate office premises here as the chief guest.<\/p>\n
Netrakona District Administration and Forest Department jointly organised the
\ntree fair aiming at popularizing the tree plantation programme of the
\ngovernment among the people.<\/p>\n
Chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Netrakona Shahed Parvez, the inaugural
\nfunction was addressed, among others, by lawmaker Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali,
\nMayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, Additional Police Super
\nHarunur Rashid and Mymensing Divisional Forest Officer ANM Abdul Wadud.<\/p>\n
Later, the State Minister visited all 29 colorful stalls of saplings of
