Ghosh today said the government would import eggs soon if the price of the
\nlow-cost source of protein is not at a logical level.<\/p>\n
“The government is not against businessmen. But the businessmen also have to
\navoid excessive greed. If it is not possible to keep the price of eggs at a
\nreasonable level within a short period, the idea of importing eggs will be
\nconsidered,” he said.<\/p>\n
The secretary said this while speaking as the chief guest at a Shadow
\nParliament on “Institutional Management in Ensuring Consumer Rights” at
\nBangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) auditorium in the city, said a
\npress release.<\/p>\n

\n(DNCRP) HM Safikuzzaman was present as special guest with Chairman of Debate
\nfor Democracy Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran in the chair.<\/p>\n
DNCRP and Debate for Democracy organised the event.<\/p>\n
Tapan Kanti Ghosh said strengthening of co-operatives at the producer level
\nwill increase production and farmers will not be deprived of fair prices.<\/p>\n
Then, they will be able to deliver their own products to the consumer level,
