Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today paid deep homage to the memories of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.<\/p>\n
He placed a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the city this morning.<\/p>\n
He also signed the visitors’ book after making a tour inside the Museum.<\/p>\n
Lavrov arrived in Dhaka last evening on a two-day visit, making the first visit to Bangladesh by any Russian Foreign Minister since independence.<\/p>\n
The Russian Foreign Minister paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this morning and held a bilateral meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Dr AK Abdul Momen last evening.<\/p>\n
