\nThe minister said these things while addressing the chief guest at the JCI Bangladesh Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award 2023 ceremony organized by the Junior Chamber International Foundation at an elite hotel in the capital today.<\/span>
\nCanada’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Lily Nicholas and Brunei Darussalam’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Haji Harris bin Haji Osman were special guests on the occasion.\u00a0JCI Bangladesh President Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, Toyop 2023 Director and JCI Bangladesh Treasurer Irfan Haque were also present.<\/span>
\nThe current government has implemented Digital Bangladesh to increase the opportunities and possibilities of the youth.\u00a0Tajul Islam said, as a result of the introduction of 100 percent electrification and high-speed internet facilities in Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, now the youth in the remote areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts can earn a living through freelancing.\u00a0Mentioning the work of the government to open the doors of possibilities at the policy-making stage, the minister said, if opportunities and environment are created, the youth can build their own destiny.<\/span>
\nThe Minister of Local Government said that the youth can lead the country towards positive change if given an opportunity to form leadership.\u00a0At this time, he congratulated the 10 young women of Bangladesh who were awarded in TOYP 2023 and said that this award will inspire other young people for making outstanding contributions in their respective fields.<\/span>
\nTo be noted, Junior Chamber International Bangladesh has been honoring 10 young people under the age of 40 for their outstanding achievements every year through the Ten Outstanding Young Persons award.\u00a0This year’s awardees include Dr. Syedul Ashraf Kushan in medicine, Farnaz Alam and Mir Shahrukh Islam in entrepreneurship, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Saiful Islam in personal achievement, Mahmudul Hasan Sohag in sports in academic leadership.\u00a0Roman Sana, Mehzabin Chowdhury in Cultural Achievement, Saima Islam in Economics and Syed Abdullah Jaher in Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
