\nPrime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s younger brother Sheikh Russell was born on this day in 1964 at the historic memorial-studded Bangabandhu Bhavan in Dhanmondi.<\/span>
\nOn August 15, 1975, the child Sheikh Russell did not escape from the ruthless bullets of the hateful killers, the enemies of humanity.\u00a0Bangabandhu was also brutally killed by the ghouls.\u00a0He was a fourth-year student at the University Laboratory School.<\/span>
\nOn the occasion of Sheikh Russell’s birthday, Awami League and its affiliated organizations have taken up detailed programs for various social and cultural organizations.<\/span>
\nOn the occasion of Shaheed Sheikh Russell’s birthday, Awami League organized wreath laying, Fateha reading, Milad and Doa Mahfil at the graves of all the martyrs who died on August 15, including Sheikh Russell, who is lying in eternal sleep at Banani Cemetery.<\/span>
\nAlong with Awami League, Dhaka Metropolitan North-South Awami League, affiliated organizations and various social and cultural organizations have taken extensive programs.<\/span>
