\nHashan Mahmud said, ‘Please don’t forget how BNP persecuted the Hindu community all over the country after winning the 2001 elections.\u00a0Just as they spread the venom of sectarianism, Israeli soldiers say nothing when people are hunted like birds in Palestine.\u00a0They can do anything for power.\u00a0They should be recognized.’<\/span>
\nHe said, ‘Our government has made adequate security arrangements in the country, people are now assured of relief.\u00a0Nowadays the number of Durga Puja mandapas increases every year as people have the enthusiasm and ability, otherwise it would not have happened.\u00a0This year more than 34 thousand puja mandaps are celebrating Durgotsavam.\u00a0Every year hundreds of pujamandaps grow across the country.’<\/span>
\nInformation Minister said, ‘Our country belongs to everyone.\u00a0This country became independent under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the combined efforts of all Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians.\u00a0Religion is to everyone’s country.\u00a0Our puja festival in Bangladesh is not only limited to the Hindu community, but people from all communities participate in the festival.\u00a0This is the culture of modern Bengal.\u00a0The Bangladesh Awami League government is in power under the leadership of People’s Leader Sheikh Hasina, so there is relief among all communities, including the Hindu community.<\/span>
\nAddressing the Sanatan community, he said, ‘In our country, who belongs to which religion or which community is never considered.\u00a0We are all citizens of this country regardless of caste, religion and caste.\u00a0That’s how everyone is alone together.\u00a0Bangladesh Awami League is the only one that believes in non-communal spirit.\u00a0Everyone should keep these words in mind in the upcoming elections.’<\/span>
