{"id":4357,"date":"2024-01-04T09:13:48","date_gmt":"2024-01-04T05:43:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyenglishtimes.com\/?p=4357"},"modified":"2024-01-04T09:13:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T05:43:48","slug":"armed-forces-deployment-starts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyenglishtimes.com\/?p=4357","title":{"rendered":"Armed forces deployment starts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"header box-shadow pb-4\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"header_top\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<p>Army deployment began today in 62 districts to ensure peaceful holding of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections slated for<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"body-content px-2\">\n<div id=\"dtl_content_block\" class=\"dtl_content_block\">\n<p>January 7 as the deployment will continue till January 10, said an official<br \/>\nrelease.<\/p>\n<p>A release issued by the Defence Ministry stated that the armed forces members<br \/>\nwill perform duties jointly with the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) in the 47<br \/>\nbordering upazilas.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from their sole deployment in 45 upazilas, the BGB members will also be<br \/>\naccompanied by the Coast Guards in four coastal upazilas.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh Navy will perform duties in a total of 19 upazilas including the<br \/>\ncoastal districts.<\/p>\n<p>The upazilas are: Bhola Sadar, Borhan Uddin, Daulatkhan, Tajumuddin,<br \/>\nLalmohan, Char Fashion and Manpura under Bhola district, Sandwip of<br \/>\nChattogram district, Hatiya of Noakhali district, Teknaf, Kutubdia and<br \/>\nMaheshkhali of Cox&#8217;s Bazar district, Barguna Sadar, Amtali, Taltali, Bamna,<br \/>\nBetagi and Patharghata of Barguna district and Mongla of Bagerhat district.<\/p>\n<p>More than 3,000 naval personnel and six warships have been deployed aiming to<br \/>\naid to the civil power till January 10 next.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh Air Force is also set to provide necessary helicopter assistance<br \/>\nto polling stations in remote hilly areas along with electoral assistance in<br \/>\ncase of emergencies, the release added.<\/p>\n<p>Special cells have been set up jointly by representatives of the armed forces<br \/>\nand law enforcement agencies across the country, which will remain<br \/>\noperational till January 10, 2024<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Army deployment began today in 62 districts to ensure peaceful holding of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections slated for January 7 as the deployment will continue till January 10, said an official release.
