\nThe minister said that there will be around 500 representatives of heads of state and government of 60 countries, international organizations, media, civil society, public and private sectors in the Munich conference.\u00a0Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the conference on February 16 and participate in a high-level panel discussion on climate finance.\u00a0He will also attend a civic reception organized by Bangladeshi expatriates in Germany.<\/span>
\nThe Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.\u00a0Hasan Mahmud, along with Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen and other senior officials will embark on a 4-day official visit on Thursday morning in a Bangladesh Biman commercial flight and arrive in Munich that evening.\u00a0After the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to leave Munich for Dhaka on February 18 and arrive on February 19.<\/span>
\nHasan Mahmud said that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will hold bilateral meetings with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rata, Danish Prime Minister Mete Frederiksen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.\u00a0Besides, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishanka, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, German International Cooperation and Development Minister Wenja Schulz, World Bank Senior Managing Director Axel van Trotsenberg and Meta’s Global Affairs President Sir Nick Clegg are scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister.<\/span>
\nThe Prime Minister participated in the 2017 and 2019 editions of this conference held in Munich, Germany since 1963 with the motto of bringing peace to the world through dialogue.\u00a0In this context, the foreign minister said that Germany is one of the most influential countries in the European Union.\u00a0Also, Germany as a single country is Bangladesh’s second largest export market in the world and the largest export market in Europe.\u00a0They are also one of the development partners of Bangladesh.\u00a0Germany is providing important political and humanitarian support to the Rohingya crisis.\u00a0In this case, by participating in this event, bilateral meetings will be held with European leaders as well as German leaders.\u00a0As a result, Dr. expressed strong hope that the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Germany will be very successful and fruitful.\u00a0laugh<\/span>
