Dhaka University’s ‘Central Coordination
\nCommittee for Observing Amar Ekushey’ has drawn up a route map for the people
\nwho will come to Central Shaheed Minar and Azimpur Graveyard on February 21
\nto pay tributes to the martyrs of Language Movement.<\/p>\n
The route map will come into effect from 7pm on February 20 (Tuesday), DU
\nVice-chancellor Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal told a press conference this
\nafternoon at university’s Abdul Matin Virtual Classroom<\/p>\n
The DU Vice Chancellor called upon the all stockholders to cooperate for
\nobserving the day smoothly.<\/p>\n
According to the route, people will be able to enter Azimpur graveyard
\nthrough the old High Court road, Doyel Crossing, Bangla Academy, TSC
\ncrossing, road beside Vice-Chancellor’s residence, New Market crossing and
\nthe north gate of the graveyard.<\/p>\n
After offering prayers at the graves of the martyrs, they will have to come
\nout through the main gate (South) of the graveyard and go through Azimpur
\nRoad, Palashi crossing, Fuller Road and in front of Salimullah Muslim and
\nJagannath halls.<\/p>\n
Those who want to go to Shaheed Minar without visiting the graveyard will use
\nthe road on the left of Nilkhet Police Outpost (west of Sergeant Zahurul Huq
\nHall) after crossing the Vice-Chancellor’s residence.<\/p>\n
The Shaheed Minar could also be reached through the road of Home Economics
\nCollege and Eden College via Azimpur and Palashi crossings.<\/p>\n
From Chankharpul area, people can go to Shaheed Minar through Bakshibazar
\ncrossing, Palashi crossing and the road in front of Sir Salimullah Muslim
\nHall and Jagannath Hall.<\/p>\n
It is to be noted that the road on the east of Jagannath Hall from TSC will
\nremain completely closed.<\/p>\n
The road from the Vice Chancellor’s residence to Fuller Road crossing and the
\nroad from Chankharpul to Curzon Hall will remain closed for public.<\/p>\n
After placing wreaths at the Shaheed Minar, people can exit through the road
\nin front of the university playground, Doyel Chattar and Chankharpul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
