Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor Dr
\nSamanta Lal Sen today found irregularities about different activities at the
\nCentral Medical Stores Depot (CMSD) at Tejgaon here.<\/p>\n
Accompanied by senior officials of the health ministry, Samanta suddenly
\nvisited the CMSD to oversee its overall situation, an official release said.<\/p>\n
During the 35-minute visit, the health minister found emergency healthcare
\nitems lying unused and dates of many healthcare essentials have been expired.
\nAt that time, CMSD officials could not answer most of the questions the
\nminister asked.<\/p>\n
Coming across the irregularities, the health minister directed the depot
\nofficials to submit a report to him in the next seven days, explaining why
\nsuch a large number of healthcare products remained unused.<\/p>\n
In the report, he also asked to include a list of all the existing goods, on
\nwhich date they were delivered here and when other goods will be delivered in
\nfuture.<\/p>\n
Secretary of Health Service Division Md Jahangir Alam and Director General of
\nthe Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr ABM Khurshid Alam,
