Civil aviation and tourism minister Muhammad
\nFaruk Khan today paid a visit at the Sylhet Osmani International airport to
\nsupervise ongoing development work and gave orders to expedite it.<\/p>\n
Later, the minister held a meeting with the officials of the Osmani
\nInternational airport and asked to finish the development project within its
\ndue time, December-2025, a press release said here.<\/p>\n
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mokammel Hossain, Civil Aviation
\nAuthority, Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman and
\nProject Director Md. Anisur Rahman were present, among others.<\/p>\n
The work of strengthening the existing runway and taxiway of Sylhet Osmani
\nInternational Airport already completed with expenditure of Taka 451.98 crore
\nfor operating wide body aircraft like Boeing-777 and more modernizing
\nprojects are being implemented with expenditure of Taka 2,309 crore.<\/p>\n
Faruk Khan also met with the Sylhet Awami League leaders and later he offered
\nziarat at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA).<\/p>\n
Besides, the minister joined a seminar titled “Tourism for Building Smart
\nBangladesh and Investment Opportunity for NRB’s” as the chief guest organized
