Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh today said that cattle market waste and sacrificial animal waste will be disposed of separately.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnder new work plan and in light of previous experience, the corporation, you (the authorities concerned) will only complete the ward-based waste removal activities properly. We have ensured separate manpower and vehicles for each haat (makeshift cattle market),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The mayor said these while speaking at a coordination meeting at Mayor Hanif Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban here in the participation of the ward councilors, representatives of Primary Collection Service Provider (PCSP) and related persons.<\/p>\n
Proper management of the waste of sacrificed animals and makeshift markets was discussed in the meeting, a press release said.<\/p>\n
Taposh urged all to finish their qurbani related activities including the slaughtering the sacrificial animals within the 2nd day of the holy Eid-ul-Azha so that waste management works can be carried out smoothly.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur cleaners usually start working to remove waste from the night before Eid and this work continues continuously. All those involved in our cleaning activities need to celebrate Eid and rest too,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
