A four-member delegation of Dawoodi Bohra Community today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office here.<\/p>\n
President of Bohra Community Quaid Johar Ujjainwala led the delegation.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary KM Shakhawat Moon briefed reporters after the call on.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina said that Dawoodi Bohra community will live peacefully like other communities in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
“All will live together in Bangladesh regardless of caste and religion,” she said.<\/p>\n
The premier also assured them of all kinds of assistance.<\/p>\n
The delegation praised the Prime Minister’s leadership for communal harmony, security, socio-economic development and progress in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
At the same time, they highlighted Sheikh Hasina’s contribution to human welfare.<\/p>\n
Leaders of the Dawoodi Bohra community greeted the Prime Minister with flowers.<\/p>\n
They presented a handmade portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and a picture of their community leader Shaikh Taherbhai with former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.<\/p>\n
PM’s Principal Secretary M Tofazzel Hossain Miah, among others, was present.<\/p>\n
The followers of Dawoodi Bohra community are spread all over the world.
