A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) during a special anti-narcotics drive yesterday arrested a man with 285 bottles of foreign liquor from city’s Gulshan area.<\/p>\n
The detained person was identified as Sazzadul Islam Dolon, 27, son of Saidul Islam of Morolganj Thana in Bagerhat.<\/p>\n
According to RAB sources, acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-1 conducted a raid in Gulshan police station area around 1:30 pm on Friday\u00a0and arrested him.<\/p>\n
Assistant Director of RAB-1 M Mahfuzur Rahman told BSS that a private car used for transporting drugs, 285 bottles of foreign liquor (271.13 liters), two mobile phones, four SIM cards and some cash money were recovered from him during the drive.<\/p>\n
During primary investigation, it was revealed that he had been supplying drugs and liquors to unauthorized bars and restaurants in various areas of the country.<\/p>\n
