RU Correspondent: Rajshahi University (RU) has taken steps to improve campus security. The university wants to stop outsiders and illegal motorcycles from entering the campus.
This afternoon, members of BNCC and Ansar carried out a security operation. They were seen working at the Kazla gate, Binodpur gate, and the main gate of the campus.
BNCC cadet Ibne Mohin Uddin said, “We are helping as volunteers following the Proctor’s instructions. Yesterday, an unexpected incident happened at Dhaka University. We are doing this so that such incidents do not happen at our campus.”
RU Proctor Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman said, “We have been working on security for several days. We decided to create a volunteer group with students. We also made the Ansar team more active. With help from the police, we are trying to stop outsiders and illegal motorcycles.”
He also mentioned the student killing at Dhaka University. He said, “Students are worried. We understand that it is important to keep the campus safe.”
