Pubali Bank PLC donates Tk 50 lakh to Gonoshasthaya Kendra
ET Desk:  Bank PLC is committed to contributing to the health sector as part of its social responsibility, in addition to making an important contribution to the country’s economy. In continuation of this, Pubali Bank has donated Tk 50 lakh to Gonoshasthaya Kendra.
Recently, in a modest ceremony at the head office of Pubali Bank PLC, the bank’s Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Ali handed over the payment order for the donation to Gonoshasthaya Kendra Chairman Shirin Parveen Haque.
The bank’s Deputy Managing Directors Mohammad Isha, Ahmed Enayet Manzur, senior executive officers and Director (Finance) of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Monica Rani Sarkar were present at the event.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra has been providing high-quality affordable healthcare to the common people of the country as a philanthropic trust since 1972. ‘Gonoshasthaya Dialysis Center’ is the largest kidney treatment center in the country, where an average of 250-270 patients receive services every day.
The center has been providing uninterrupted service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in 4 shifts.
Pubali Bank PLC is the largest private commercial bank in Bangladesh, with 509 branches and 235 sub-branches across the country. It has long been involved in various social development activities including education, health, environment and disaster management, as well as the financial sector.
Speaking at the event, Pubali Bank PLC Managing Director Mohammad Ali said, “We believe in being involved not only in the financial sector but also in social welfare activities. Healthcare is a fundamental right and it is our pride to be able to contribute to this sector.”
