ET Desk: Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdel Wahab Saidani paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
The meeting was held at the office of the Ameer-e-Jamaat in Bashundhara, the capital, at 12 noon (Wednesday, October 8). The meeting was held in a very sincere and cordial atmosphere.
At the beginning of the meeting, the ambassador inquired about the health of Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and wished him a speedy and full recovery.
During the meeting, they discussed the overall situation in Bangladesh, the relationship between the two countries – especially the sustainability of democracy, investment, and diplomatic issues.
Both sides expressed hope that the development, progress and bilateral relations between the two countries will accelerate further in the future.
Present with the Ameer-e-Jamaat were Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar and Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahbub Zubair.
