ET Desk: Momtazul Karim Nazir Ahmed has recently joined Meghna Bank PLC as Deputy Managing Director (DMD).
He has been working in local and international banks for 2 decades.
Nazir Ahned started his banking career at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) and later worked at NRB Bank PLC. He most recently served as Head of Corporate Banking at Bank Alfalah Limited, Bangladesh.
He has expertise in various areas including Corporate Banking, SME and agricultural finance, offshore banking, trade services, supply chain and structured finance. He has also played a significant role in cyber security and trade-based money laundering prevention.
He completed his BBA and MBA in Finance and Banking from Dhaka University and earned a Master of Science degree in Strategic Planning from Johns Hopkins University in the United States.
He has also participated in various professional training, workshops, and certification programs at home and abroad.
