Opposition leader exchanges views with officials of Bangladesh Embassy in Japan

Staff Correspondent: On Thursday, May 7, the Leader of the Opposition and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, MP, exchanged views with the Ambassador of the Bangladesh Embassy in Japan, Md. Daud Ali, and embassy officials and attended a luncheon.

The opposition leader was accompanied by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, MP, and the foreign affairs advisor to the honorable opposition leader, Barrister Mir Ahmad Bin Quasem Arman, MP.

The meeting discussed the overall situation of Bangladeshi expatriates in Japan, Bangladesh-Japan bilateral relations, trade and investment expansion, export of skilled manpower, and various issues of mutual cooperation in the education and technology sectors.

At this time, the Honorable Opposition Leader inquired about the overall activities of the embassy, ​​services provided to expatriate Bangladeshis and various initiatives taken for their welfare. He appreciated the sincere efforts of the embassy officials to protect the interests of Bangladeshis residing in Japan, improve the quality of services and project a positive image of Bangladesh.

Ambassador Md. Daud Ali briefed the opposition leader about the ongoing activities of the embassy to further strengthen the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Japan. The potential of Bangladeshi youth in creating skilled human resources in Japan and various aspects of future cooperation were also discussed.
