Diversified dev plans underway to turn Bangladesh a rich one by 2041: Deputy Speaker

Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad M Shamsul Huq Tuku yesterday said the present government has taken and implementing diversified development plans aiming to turn Bangladesh into a developed nation by 2041.“The present government has taken diversified development plan and materializing those plans with a target to turn the country a developed nation by 2041”, said the Deputy Speaker as chief guest while attending an annual sports competition at Bishnupur Manirul Islam High School here.Criticizing the role of the anti-liberation forces, the deputy speaker said when former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan even wished to develop Pakistan alike Bangladesh, adding that but the anti-liberation forces like BNP-Jammat claiming that the then Pakistan was better than Bangladesh. Tuku said “The people gave mandate to the symbol of ‘boat’ in 1970 and consequently the country is independent today…”but those who came to power after the carnage of 1975 did not think about the development of the people, “he added.BNP-Jammat clique are repeatedly trying to glorify the state of Pakistan with a target to tarnish the image of the Liberation War of Bangladesh, said the Deputy Speaker.Chaired by M Shafiqul Islam Shafi, president of Bishnupur Manirul Islam High School, the programme also was attended, among others, by Santhia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Masud Hossain, Santhia Upazila Awami League President M Hasan Ali Khan and local elites.
