Rajshahi University (RU) teachers, officers, and employees have contributed around taka 46 lakh to the chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund as one day’s basic salary to help the people of the country’s recent flood-affected areas.
Last Sunday on behalf of RU Treasurer Professor Md. Abaidur Rahman Pramanik handed over the check for this amount to Farooq-e Azam Bir Prateek, Adviser of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief at the Office of the Chief Adviser.
Professor Mohammad Nirjhar Rahman, Acting Director of Accounts of RU, and other related officials were present at this time.
