Sylhet Correspondent: The distribution and collection of forms for life membership registration has officially begun in Sylhet ahead of the 2026 Senate Election for Registered Graduates of the University of Dhaka.

The formal inauguration of the programme took place on Sunday evening (October 4) at the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), with forms being distributed among teachers and officials working at the university.

The programme is being conducted under the initiative of the Life Membership Registration Management Committee of the Jatiyatabadi Oikya Parishad, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.

According to the organisers, former students of the University of Dhaka currently working at various government and private institutions in Sylhet district and metropolitan area will be able to collect and submit the prescribed forms to become life members as Registered Graduates of the University of Dhaka.

Md. Sufian Chowdhury, Central Coordinator of the 2026 DU Registered Graduates’ Senate Election (Sylhet District) and Additional Registrar (Administration) of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, said that all interested DU alumni in Sylhet district who wish to be enlisted as life members can collect and submit the prescribed forms from the Central Coordinator within the next 15 days.

He urged all former students of the University of Dhaka currently working at various government and private institutions in Sylhet district to collect and submit the forms within the stipulated period.
