Desk Report : Member Secretary of Jatiya Party’s Central Conference Preparation Committee and Political Secretary of Opposition Leader Begum Rowshan Ershad Golam Mosih termed former successful President Pallibandhu Hussain Muhammad Ershad as the embodiment of new Bangladesh and said he was the last reformer. Reformer of economics of people who worked in villages. A strong leader of liberation. There is no place in the remote areas of the village that is untouched by Ershad’s development. Major roads and streets of Dhaka were built during his regime. He appreciated the brave soldiers of the great liberation war. “Freedom fighters are the last children of all time” was first uttered by him. He said these at a meeting organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North Jatiya Party conference preparation committee at Gulshananth party office today. He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 4th death anniversary of late president Ershad. He said that Ershad used to waive gas, water and electricity bills in mosques and madrasas. He formed religious welfare trusts for people of Hindu, Buddhist and Christian faiths. Ershad thought that religion belongs to everyone. Jatiya Party’s Dhaka Metropolitan (North) conference preparation committee convener Zahir Uddin Zahir spoke at the meeting.The joint convener of the conference preparation committee and internationally renowned Qari Habibullah Belali, the joint convener of the conference preparation committee Nurul Islam Nuru also spoke on the occasion. The program was conducted by the member of the conference preparation committee – Muhammad Israfil Miah. Convenor of the Cultural Party, poet Yunus Farsi, Alhaj Manjurul Haque Sachcha, Tauhidur Rahman, Advocate Imdadul Haque and leaders of some thana committees also spoke.
