The construction of a road was inaugurated in Jhilim union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Wednesday noon.Lawmaker of Chapainawabganj -3 (Sadar) constituency Md Abdul Wadud inaugurated it as the chief guest.
Among others, executive engineer of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Mozahar Ali Pramanik and chairman of Jhilim UP Golam Lutful Hasan were present during the inauguration.LGED sources said, LGED would construct the 2.19 kilometres long road from Dhinagar to Jalahar with a cost of Taka two crore.After the completion of the construction of the road, sufferings of the people of the area especially during the rainy season would be removed, the sources added.
