Bangladesh Awami League’s international affairs sub-committee discussion meeting to commemorate the day of mourning and the grenade attack

Desk Report: A special program was organized by Bangladesh Awami League’s International Affairs Sub-Committee to commemorate the brutal murder of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family on August 15, 1975 and the deadly grenade attack on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s rally on August 21, 2004.

Begum Matia Chowdhury, MP, deputy leader of Jatiya Sangsad and member of the presidium of Bangladesh Awami League, was present as the chief guest in the event organized at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum.

Bangladesh Awami League presidium member Abdur Rahman was present as a special guest. International Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League gave a welcome speech at the event. Shammi Ahmed, Syeda Zakia Noor Lipi, MP and Abdur Rahman Rama, an eyewitness to the brutal 1975 massacre, spoke among others. Former Ambassador, Bangladesh Awami League International Affairs Sub-Committee Chairman Mohammad Zamir presided over the event.
