Student league beat and threw out 5 Chatra Dal leaders at Rajshahi University 

Rabi representative: Rajshahi University (RU) Branch Student League leaders-activists have beaten up and thrown out five Chatra Dal, including four leaders of Chhatra Dal from the campus. The incident occurred in front of Agrani Bank of the university around 11:30 on Thursday (02 November).

The five leaders-activists who were beaten up were – Zakir Redwan, a member of the convening committee of the branch Chhatra Dal, joint convener Maruf, Suhrawardy Hall Chhatra Dal leader Nahiduzzaman, Zoha Hall Chhatra Dal leader Zakir Hossain and Prince Rabbi is the general secretary of a ward under Mahanagar Chhatra Dal. Currently, they have been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Nafiul Islam Jiban, member of the convening committee (office) of the branch Chhatra Dal, said, “We were marching in the campus in support of the BNP blockade. At such a time the leaders and workers of the Student League chased us, beat our two leaders, and threw them out of the campus.

Regarding the beating of five leaders of the Chhatra Dal, the general secretary of the branch Student League, Asadullah-Hill-Galib said, “We have been standing firmly in the campus since the day of the hartal.” The day after yesterday, some leaders and workers of Chhatra Dal locked two academic buildings. We opened it and arranged a class examination for the students.

He also said that, Even today some leaders-activists led by Chhatra Dal leader Mahmudul Mithu came to the campus to create chaos. We chased them out. As long as the class exams of the students are going on we will stay on the campus as their guard.
