Desk Report: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day were celebrated in Shahjalal Science and Technology University with due dignity.
On Friday (March 17) at 10 a.m., a seminar and discussion was held on the subject of fluency and foresight in the speeches and writings of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the mini auditorium of the university.
In the speech of the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said that this nation is forever indebted to Bangabandhu. It is because of his contribution that we are able to work for our progress in an independent country. But we have to aim so that we can create skilled and qualified manpower. That’s why we have to take care of children from the very beginning. They should be qualified.
Vice-Chancellor also said that political freedom is meaningless without economic freedom. The rights of the poor have not yet been established. They cannot enjoy equal opportunities. So economic liberation is essential now. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now working for economic development. We also have to work in our respective positions.

Milad Mahfil was held at Badjohar Central Mosque. In this prayer is made asking for the forgiveness of Bangabandhu’s soul.
