Planning Minister MA Mannan today sought more technological support from China in the field of development activities.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, many development activities are ongoing on. In case of development, China is one of the largest partners,” he told a photo exhibition and discussion meeting as the chief guest at a city hotel.
The discussion was held marking the 10th Founding Anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Chairman of Bangladesh China Silk Road Forum Dilip Barua presided over the program while Charg‚ d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Yan Hualong was the special guest.
President of the Bangladesh Workers Party and former minister Rashed Khan Menon, President of the Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dal and former minister Hasanul Haque Inu, President of the Communist Party of Bangladesh Shah Alam and former Ambassador Munshi Faiz Ahmad were discussants.
Mannan said China and Bangladesh have friendly relations.
“Both countries are working to smooth this relationship further. China can provide more technological support to Bangladesh,” he added.
