Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Joint General Secretary of Awami League. Hasan Mahmud said that the BNP-Jamaat cycle wants to take Bangladesh to the level of Pakistan or Afghanistan. They want to destroy the country by creating communal strife, and want to hand over the country to foreign globalists.
He said, ‘We have to fight unitedly against this evil force. We cannot allow this country to be divided in the hands of BNP-Jamaat, in the hands of communal forces.’ 
He made this call in a speech at the Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League’s peace and development rally at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Thursday afternoon. 
Awami League Dhaka Metropolitan South President Abu Ahmed Mannafi presided over and General Secretary Md. In the meeting chaired by Humayun Kabir, party general secretary Obaidul Quader was the chief guest, Awami League presidium member Advocate Kamrul Islam, organizing secretary Mirza Azam MP and SM Kamal Hossain gave speeches as special guests.
The Minister of Information and Broadcasting said, ‘When Bangladesh is moving ahead today under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the evil forces led by BNP Jamaat are conspiring against the country. And some international conspiracies are also connected with this conspiracy. They want to pull the wheel of the country’s progress, because they do not believe in the independence of Bangladesh.’
Hashan Mahmud said, ‘The party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Sahib says that Pakistan was good, they cannot believe in the independence of Bangladesh. And Jamaat-e-Islami fought for Pakistanis against Bangladesh, against this flag, against the green flag with the red sun, killed the people of this country, was involved in the massacre. They are the main partner of BNP.
Information Minister said, ‘We know how much BNP can do. They pull us out of power every month. Last December, their movement died in Golap Bagh cow market while trying to remove them from power. Last month said that the final game is in September. He also said that Begum Zia should be released within 48 hours. 48 hours now 10 days have passed, Khaleda Zia has not been released. 
He said, ‘BNP lost in the semi-final, did not reach the final, so will we play the final with them? Therefore, I will make a request to the leaders and activists, after defeating them finally and putting the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina in the seat of the Prime Minister for the fourth and fifth time in a row, Inshallah then we will return home, before that we will not return home.’
