Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen MP said, We Bangladesh are always in favor of Palestine. We always want peace. There will be no peace if Palestine-Israel are not 2 separate states.
The minister said this while talking to reporters after the function organized to mark the inauguration of Shiver Bazar GC-Kompaniganj road at a cost of around Tk 10 crore at Hatkhala Union of Sylhet Sadar Upazila on Friday (October 12) afternoon.
The foreign minister said, we Bangladesh want the well-being of people and human rights throughout our lives. The Palestinian people have been struggling for their rights for almost 73 years.
He said, our position on this issue is clear for Palestine. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was in favor of Palestine all his life. His daughter Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also believes in the same principle.
The minister said, we have no trade relations with Israel. The whole world will get a little shock due to the ongoing conflict. Bangladesh may have some difficulties due to that shock.
