A US delegation visited Bangladesh Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s political office in Dhanmondi today.
A three-member delegation consisting of US Institute for Peace (USIP) representatives Esha Gupta, Daniel Mark and Geoffrey McDonald visited the Awami League office at 4 pm on Friday (October 13).
According to a press release, Awami League presidium member Lt. Col. (retd.) Muhammad Farooq Khan welcomed the delegation with a bouquet of flowers.
At this time, Awami League Advisory Council member Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, International Affairs Secretary Dr. Shammi Ahmed, Deputy Editor Sayem Khan and others were present.
After the meeting with the delegation of the US Institute for Peace, Dr. Shammi Ahmed said that there was no talk about the next election.
Shammi Ahmed said, Bangladesh’s foreign policy and various issues were discussed in the meeting.

He also said, “They wanted to know about our relations with India and China as well as the countries of the subcontinent. We have stated our position on this.”
