President Md Sahabuddin left Dhaka for Singapore today for better treatment.
President, his wife Dr. A commercial flight (BG-584) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited carrying Rebecca Sultana and other travel companions took off from Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport at 8:50 am today.
At the airport, Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque, Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Cabinet Secretary, three Army Chiefs, Foreign Secretary, IGP of Police, Sheila Pillai, Consul of Singapore in Bangladesh and senior military and civilian officials bid farewell to the President.
During the 15-day visit, President Sahabuddin will undergo treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
The head of state is scheduled to return home on October 30.
