The government will not budge from the constitution: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that as long as the people of Bangladesh are with Sheikh Hasina, no message or ultimatum will be of any use. The government will not budge from the constitution.
He said this in a program titled ‘Sheikh Russell Diptimoy, Nirvik Nirmal Durjoy’ at Dhaka University Laboratory School and College on Tuesday morning. On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Awami League’s relief and social welfare sub-committee organized a discussion meeting, merit scholarship, donation to the poor fund and distribution of educational materials.
Obaidul Quader said, ‘According to the constitution, elections will be held in Bangladesh. The words of foreigners will not change the constitution. This election will be free, fair, impartial and acceptable. The next election will be held under this government.
Commenting that BNP is plotting sabotage by bringing terrorists from all over the country to Dhaka, Awami League General Secretary said that BNP is hiring terrorists from all over the country to gather in the capital. They are thinking of a mass revolution against the Awami government. They are trying to create anarchy in the country. It is destroying the peace of the people of the country. Trying to give an ultimatum to the government. Their dream will never come true. The Awami League government is ready to give a befitting reply to their sabotage.
President of Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Sub-Committee AKM Rahmat Ullah also spoke on the occasion – Awami League Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Editor Aminul Islam Amin, Deputy Publicity Editor Syed Abdul Awal Shamim, Executive Committee Member Tariq Sujat, Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, Laboratory School and College Principal Selina Ahmed and others.
Later, the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges distributed checks and educational materials to the merit scholarship students.
