Obaidul Quader has ordered Awami League leaders and activists across the country to guard Hindu places of worship and homes during Durga Puja.
He gave this party directive to the journalist after the meeting with the leaders of Puja Udjakar Parishad this morning.
The incident of violence in Comilla came to the attention of the party. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has personally inquired with deep concern. The whole matter is being investigated by the team. Disciplinary action will be taken if anyone misbehaves.
Awami League general secretary said in response to reporters’ questions about BNP’s October 28 rally, the same fate as December 10 will happen on October 28.
