ET Desk: Expatriate community leader, eminent social worker Master Rowshon congratulated the people of Companiganj, Goainghat and Jaintapur upazilas of Sylhet on the Great Victory Day.
He said in a press release, ‘December 16 is a historic day in our national life. On this day in 1971, our forefathers broke the chains of long subjugation and managed to liberate the beloved motherland from the enemy. This independence was achieved in a bloody nine-month long war. I pay deep respect to the martyrs of those brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this freedom war. I also have deep respect for all the brave freedom fighters who risked their lives to liberate the country.
He wished success and overall well-being of the people of Companiganj, Goainghat and Jaintapur upazilas under Sylhet-4 Constituency.
