Mojid Sons Construction Ltd and the contractor’s 11 workers were working on this site. The company man and engineer were absent on the spot.
Molding visitor Abdul Krim said, Mr. Asad called at 9 in the morning and said that there will be molding at the site, I called the engineer and asked, is everything okay? An injured worker Rashedul Islam said Shuraj’s eye was injured, Sifat, Shihab, and Ajadul were admitted to Rajshahi Medical, and Shagor, Wahab, Kajol, Saiful, and two company workers may were injured, we are from Chapai since 2 days ago.
Another Injured worker Suruj said We were working upstairs when suddenly Bhima collapsed and an iron rod hit my left eye.
A Masters Student Muzammel Hossen said that According to the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), During casting time, the Structural engineer, site engineer, and site visitor must be present on site.
Proctor of the University Prof. Asabul Haque said I have heard the news of 9 people injured in the roof collapse. Among them, four are under treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, three have returned with first aid and the remaining two have relatively minor injuries.
