Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy welcomed the spring with a colorful procession and dance to the rhythm of Dhaka.
Basantavaran started today with the performance of 225 dancers next to Shatayu Angan in Ramna of the capital.
After the Vasantavaran dance performance, the procession started at 3:30 pm to the beat of Dhaka. About 3 hundred artists from Ramana to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy participated in this procession. The procession passed through Matsya Bhavan around Ramna Park and ended at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.  
Meanwhile, Housing and Public Works Minister Ram Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury was the chief guest on the occasion.
He said, may we celebrate today’s spring festival for ages. We leave the responsibility to the next generation so that our next generations can celebrate and enjoy this festival. Those who believe in the existence of Bangladesh should be taken forward.
In the president’s speech, Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky said, we are presenting Bengali culture in the world court. Our Boishakh, our Phalgun, Chaitra Sankranti is the language of Bengali joy and happiness, a tradition of thousands of years of Bengali tradition. Our generation will spread the light of culture from home to home.
We will never lose it. He mentioned that through our activities we will spread it from this generation to the next.
As part of Basantavaran, promising dance troupe of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy performed the party dance ‘Dhak Nritya’ on the open stage of the academy in the afternoon. After that, the dance group performed the party dance ‘Shubechcha O Valosha’. Shilpakala Academy’s Shilpakala Academy’s Shilpa Sangeet Group performed the group song ‘Anand Loke’. Dalia Ahmed and Jayant Chatterjee performed the duet recital ‘Rumjhum Ke Bajay’. Mehreen Mahmud performed the solo song ‘Jetha Ramdhanu Ude Hese’.
Later, a duet was performed by Naushin Tabassum Remembrance and Momin Biswas. The party dance ‘Sunderer Atyandra Prahari’ was performed in a series of performances. Then the duet dance ‘Aji Dakshin Paban’ was performed by Abu Naeem and Amedita Khan. Duet music was performed by Sarmin Sathi Islam and Bulbul Islam. After that, Dhaka Sangsik Dal will perform the party song ‘Mon Doh Mon Chhoeche’. Tamanna Tithi and Mahidul Islam will perform the double recital. Party dance ‘Basant Mukhar Aji’/ ‘Neel Digante’ performed by Rewaj Performers School. Dance directed by Munmun Ahmed. Samina Hossain and Mahtab Mehdi performed the duet dance ‘Vishwaveena Rabe/ Aju Sakhi’. Then the single song ‘Chena Chena Lage’ was performed by Md Yusuf Ahmed Khan. Kiran Chandra Roy and Chandana Mazumder performed duet music. The duet dance ‘Fagun Lage Shakhe Shakhe’ was performed by Zuairiyah Mouli and Maria Fareeh Upma. After this, the small-group dance was performed by the tapasya dance troupe. Directed by Dance Director- Fifa Chakma. Then Shimul Mustafa and Rupa Chakraborty performed a duet. Anik Bose and Kasturi Mukherjee performed the duet dance ‘Ektu Chowya Lage’. Then the party dance ‘Abak Kahe’ was performed by the Kathak dance community. Dance directed by dance director Saju Ahmed. Arohi Islam (Ariful Islam Arnab) and Hena Hossain will perform the duet dance ‘Bagichay Bulbuli’ again. Finally, a fashion dance parade was performed with the participation of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s dance troupe. Sangeeta Chowdhury and Abdullah Biplab hosted the event.
