A procession and a discussion meeting were held marking ‘International Women’s Day’ on 8th March with the slogan “Digital technology and innovation will eradicate gender discrimination” in Brahmanbaria’s Sarail. On the occasion of the day, Upazila Administration and Upazila Women Affairs Officer Office organized a discussion marking the day on Wednesday morning. Before this, a procession starts from the premises of the Upazila Parishad and paraded the main roads of the upazila. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sorwar Uddin chaired the program while Upazila Parishad Chairman Rafiq Uddin Thakur delivered the speech as chief guest. Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Jannat Sultana gave a speech as a special guest respectively Upazila Health Family Planning Dr.Md. Noman Mia, officer in charge (OC) of Sarail police station Aslam Hossain, President of Sarail Press Club Ayub Khan, President of Upazila Press Club Mohammad Shafikur Rahman spoke on the occasion.
