Desk Report: JCI Dhaka Imperial has kicked off three transformative projects aimed at
bringing about positive change in Bangladesh. The flagship “Grow with
Shroom” initiative is empowering unemployed youth with training in mushroom
farming, financial literacy, and digital business monitoring to help them
establish their own businesses.
JCI Dhaka Imperial’s highly successful “Hygiene Drive 2.0” project continues,
with plans to introduce a hygiene curriculum to different schools and teach
students about the fundamentals of hygiene and healthcare. The aim is to
improve health outcomes and reduce the spread of disease in Bangladesh.
The third project, “Can be Prevented,” focuses on preventing cervical cancer
among underprivileged women in Bangladesh through awareness campaigns,
HPV vaccination drives, and the provision of hygiene toolkits to those at high
risk.
During the chain handover ceremony, JCI Dhaka Imperial’s President, Syeda
Sabera Arefin, presented a plan of action for the year along with a budget
report. JCI Dhaka Imperial is committed to promoting positive change through
leadership development and community service, and these three projects are
a testament to the organization’s commitment to improving lives and driving
progress in Bangladesh.
