Ebtedayee levels demand “Nationalization of their madrasas and jobs.

Desk Report: The eminent scholars and ulama of the country have made 11-point demands for the development of madrasa education system in the country, including the nationalization of the teaching level. Islamic Education Development Bangladesh demanded it in a program today.

On Saturday (July 15) the national seminar organized at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club was attended by the eminent scholars of the country. In the National Seminar organized by Islamic Education Development Bangladesh, Anjumane Al Islah Bangladesh President Maulana Hushamuddin Chowdhury Sahebzada Fultali was present as the chief guest. Maulana Hushamuddin Chowdhury said that 130,000 primary schools are running under government sponsorship in the country. Apart from this, thousands of schools run by NGOs are getting the opportunity to participate in exams with code numbers and free books from the upazila administration. However, according to the Madrasa Education Board, there are 6882 independent students. Madrasa is deprived of this opportunity. In the light of reality, it is necessary to bring at least 30 thousand independent participating madrasas under nationalization to save madrasa education from destruction. Renowned scholars of the country said that there are more than half a hundred PTIs to train primary school teachers. But in the last 48 years for more than 15 thousand affiliated and independent madrasahs, there is no training of a single teacher not even arranged. There is a pre-primary level for the development of primary education. Allotment of teachers and facilities are being provided there. 37 thousand 672 teachers are employed and working at pre-primary level, which is really a commendable initiative. But no initiative has been taken to open this level for madrassas. They also said that the primary head master and teachers who get degree and master’s degree in the country have the same curriculum, taught by following syllabus. Ebtedayi Madrasa Heads with Fazil (Degree) and Kameel (Master’s Degree) certificates are teaching the same curriculum and syllabus. The Madrasah itself is teaching 4 additional subjects. But the head of the department is getting the same salary as an office assistant. He also questioned how long this discrimination will continue in the same country.

Their demands include-
• The teaching level of the madrasa under nationalization.
• Immediately implement the contribution policy signed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. • 91% of Muslims and 7% of the country believe in different religions, i.e. 100% of people, to revise the curriculum to develop the mentality of faith, belief and patriotism, so that students develop with faith and belief. • Providing facilities like primary to independent and affiliated Madrasahs. •Withdrawal of suspension of sanction of new contributing madrasas.
• Setting up of training institutes on PTI model for training teachers at secondary level.
• Fixing salary structure for contributing teachers like in primary schools. President of Islamic Education Development Bangladesh. Maulana Osman Gani addressed while AKM Mahbubur Rahman and moderated by Md. Abdur Rahman, Deputy Secretary General of the organization. Salehi, Maulana Shah Mahmudul Hasan Ferdous, Dr. Maulana Nazrul Islam Maruf Al Madani, Dr. Mo. Shahidul Haque, Professor Dr. M. Abdul Aziz, Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Professor Dr. Md.
