Desk Report: Prime Minister’s ICT Adviser and Centre for Research and Information (CRI) Chairperson Sajeeb Wazed Joy on Saturday expressed his gratitude to the youth of Bangladesh.

He said that no one could have imagined the progress that has been made in the country in the last 15 years.

He made the comment after distributing the prizes at the final round of the seventh edition of Joy Bangla Youth Awards at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Youth Development at Savar on Saturday.

A total of 12 organizations were given the Joy Bangla Youth Award in six categories.

The biggest youth platform Young Bangla has been hosting the Joy Bangla Youth Award since 2015.

“I am grateful to the youth of Bangladesh, and to you. There are many questions, and Bangladesh has many hardships. But what I’m proud of is that you (youth) don’t worry about problems. You are thinking of solutions,” he added.

The prime minister’s ICT adviser said that the youth of this country are not just sitting around, they are finding solutions and implementing them.

“I am telling the youth of Bangladesh from the beginning that we are standing on our own feet as a country. The youth of Bangladesh can also stand on their own feet. You can find your own employment on your own initiatives,” he added.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, grandson of Bangabandhu handed over the Joy Bangla Youth Award to the winners. Radwan Mujib Siddiq, another grandson of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibir Rahman, was also present on the occasion.
