The underprivileged population will get technology services sitting in the village

Underprivileged people will get technology services in villages. Aspire to Innovate-A2I and Sublime Limited will work together to establish digital service centers across the country to deliver technology-based citizen services to every people in marginalized areas to build Smart Bangladesh.
For this purpose, a memorandum of understanding was signed at the ICT Tower located in Agargaon of the capital on Wednesday. Project Director (Joint Secretary) of A2I. Mamunur Rashid Bhuya and Sublime Limited Chairman Lt. Gen. Sheikh Mamun Khaled (retd) signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under this MoU, digital service centers will be established to ensure technology services at every home of the underprivileged population at the village level across the country. In this regard, A2I will provide technical and overall support including creation of entrepreneurs at the village level, finalization of citizen services. Sublime Limited will work to ensure all digital services starting from registration of birth and death, payment of electricity bill, registration for going abroad, financial transactions.      
In this regard, the project director (Joint Secretary) of A2I. Mamunur Rashid Bhuya said that more than 385 technology-based civic services are already being delivered to the doorstep of the people through 9,397 digital centers (Unions, Municipalities, Upazilas, Zila Parishads, City Corporation Wards and Specialized Centers) across the country.
Chairman of Sublime Limited Lt. Gen. Sheikh Mamun Khaled (retd) said that the overall activities of digital service centers will play a special role in realizing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dream ‘Smart Bangladesh 2041’. Also, this digital service center will provide visa related services, first aid services, skill development training and money transaction services.  
It should be noted that A2I under the Cabinet Department and Information and Communication Technology Department and managed with the support of UNDP is providing technical and overall support in the process of making information technology-based citizen services inclusive and innovative in building Smart Bangladesh.
At the MoU signing ceremony, Sublime’s Chief Executive Brigadier General (retd) Imamul Huda, Chief Business Development Officer Captain (retd) Mayez Uddin, Chief Operating Officer Sheikh Aminur Rahman, A2I Joint Director (Joint Secretary) Molla Mizanur Rahman, Head of Digital Financial Service and Digital Center. Tahurul Hasan, Capacity Development Coordinator Ashok Biswas and related senior officials of A2I and Sublime Limited and media persons were present.
