The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia observed 54th Independence Day and National Day on the campus to pay tributes to the martyrs in a befitting manner.
Marking the day, IU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam and Pro vice-chancellor Professor Dr Mahbubur Rahman hoisted the national flag, the university flag and releasing Ballons in front of the university administration around 10:30 am.
the teachers, officers, staff and students of the university brought out a colorful procession led by the VC Dr Salam. After parading the main roads of the campus, the rally ended at the university central monument. In the rally, treasurer Professor Dr Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan, acting registrar H M Ali Hasan, deans, chairman and teachers of different departments and activists of many political, voluntary and cultural organizations also took part in a joyous manner.

egistrar placed floral wreath from the university authorities while different organizations also placed floral Wrath on the central monument.
Later, a Dua-Mahfil was also held at the university central mosque after Dhuhar prayer to seek salvation of departs Souls of the Heroes.
