State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat left here for Bhutan as a companion of Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, who returned to his country today after wrapping up his four-day official visit to Bangladesh.
The state minister along with the Bhutanese King left the Sonahat land port of Kurigram this afternoon, Public Relations Officer of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Md Iftekhar Hossain told BSS.
Iftekhar said Mohammad Ali Arafat went to Bhutan by road at the invitation of Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and he is expected to return home on Sunday.
