Abu Hasnat Sarker Romy (Nilphamari): Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that before any future election, it is necessary to ensure that the murderers are tried and necessary reforms are implemented. Two tasks must be completed before any election. One is the trial of the murderers, which must be visible.
Another is the necessary reforms – without these two, the people of Bangladesh will not accept any election.
He said these things while addressing a public meeting at the Collectorate Ground in Lalmonirhat on Saturday (April 19) as the chief guest.
Addressing the Chief Advisor, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “We want fair elections, we do not want to see elections influenced by black money and muscle power. Therefore, we must create a level playing field for the elections.”
Demanding to live with India as neighbors based on harmony, respect and equality, he said, “If we are good, they will also be good. If we take away our good, India will have to think about whether they will be good.”
The Jamaat Ameer said that even though fascism has fallen, some corrupt politicians are still extorting and occupying power. If Jamaat comes to power, it will ensure respect, security and employment for women.
He also called for bringing Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to power, promising to take various steps for the development of Lalmonirhat, including the implementation of the Teesta Master Plan.
The Jamaat Ameer said, “We are preparing for that day. We want a nation without divisions. We want to move forward with a united nation. The Teesta Maha Plan, which is the lifeblood of Lalmonirhat, must be implemented, the Agricultural University and the Lalmonirhat airport must be opened – then unemployment will be eliminated.”
