ET Desk: Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad said, The July Uprising has provided an opportunity to fulfill the dream of building a discrimination-free Bangladesh. We have to utilize that opportunity.
We must always remain united to build a Bangladesh free from discrimination. We must protest against injustice from our respective positions.
He also said, It is possible to build an independent Bangladesh through collective efforts in the spirit of July 24.
He made the above remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the oath-taking, discussion meeting and cultural program organized by the Sylhet District Administration and District Social Service Office at the District Shilpakala Academy at Shahi Eidgah TV Gate in Sylhet city on Saturday (July 26) at 10 am.
Sylhet District Social Services Department Deputy Director Md. Abdur Rafiq presided over the event and under the direction of Disability Affairs Officer Siddharth Shankar Roy, Director of Sylhet Divisional Social Services Department Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sylhet District, D M Hasibul Benazir, Civil Surgeon’s Office Medical Officer Dr. Swapnil, Deputy Director of Sylhet Women’s Affairs Department Shahina Akhter, Child Affairs Officer of Sylhet District Children’s Academy Saidur Rahman Bhuiyan, and SUST Coordinator Tanjina Begum spoke as a special guest.
