ET Desk: The Bangladesh Administrative Service Association does not support the corruption allegations made by former Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar against eight advisors.
This information was given in a press release signed by the association’s president, Housing and Public Works Ministry Secretary Nazrul Islam, and Secretary General Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharaf Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury on Sunday (August 11).
The notice said that at a seminar titled ‘Expectations of the July Uprising and Public Administration of the Future’ organized at the BIAM Auditorium in the capital last Friday, General Secretary and former Secretary of the Officers Club A.B.M. Abdus Sattar the opinion he gave about the eight advisors at one point in his speech is entirely his own.
The Association does not support this statement in any way. The Association firmly believes that the advisors of the current interim government, led by the Chief Advisor, are working with honesty, integrity, sincerity and patriotism.
The members of the association are firmly committed to implementing all the government’s activities with full confidence.
